How hard is it to connect to my Mac Mini core 2 duo to a Windows based network?
I have a Mac Mini (the one listed above ^) with OS X 10.5 Leopard. My parents PC, a Dell Dimension 3000, is the computer with the main network. It has Windows XP SP2 with a Linksys WRK54G wireless router. How hard will it be to get my Mac Mini to connect to this network? Range is not a problem.
Takes about 5 minutes. The Mac mini has wi-fi built in. Just access the system preferences. Turn on the Airport and it should all connect by itself. You may have to add the password if your network is protected. To access your parent's Dell, just go to "Go" in the top menu bar and drag down to "connect to server" and browse. It'll show you all the computers on the network.
